The first burn
-
The first time you light the candle, let it burn until the entire top layer of wax has melted (about 2–4 hours, depending on the size).
- This will help prevent the "tunnel" effect and ensure even burning in the future.
Wick care
-
Before each burn, trim the wick to ~5 mm.
-
If the wick is too long, the flame will be too big, and the candle may smoke or burn unevenly.
Burn time
-
It is recommended to burn the candle for no longer than 3–4 hours at a time.
-
Allow the wax to cool and solidify completely before lighting again.
Surroundings
-
Burn the candle only on a heat-resistant, flat surface.
-
Avoid drafts – they can cause uneven burning.
-
Never light the candle near flammable objects.
Safety
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
-
If there is very little wax left in the candle (about 1 cm), do not burn it anymore.
After use
-
If the wax surface has become uneven, allow it to cool completely—it will even out during subsequent burns.
-
Minor changes in wax or color are natural and are not considered defects.
